Overview
The HSSC Biology syllabus introduces candidates to the various branches of Biology, with a focus on the several connections between the theoretical aspects of the subject and its real world applications. Candidates learn the underlying principles that are common to both animals and plants, as well as the connections between Biology and other areas of knowledge. The syllabus allows candidates to understand and appreciate the biotic and a-biotic world around them, in a way that teaches them the ability to ask questions about life using the scientific method. They also learn to reflect on their previously acquired knowledge and personal beliefs.
