Overview
The SAT Math Test assesses Math practices, emphasizing problem solving, modelling, using tools strategically, and using algebraic structure. The questions test your ability to solve problems and use appropriate approaches and tools strategically.
Instead of testing you on every Math topic there is, the SAT asks you to use the Math that you will rely on most in all sorts of situations. SAT Math involves knowledge of subject areas such as arithmetic, geometry, algebra, statistics and probability. It also involves data interpretation from tables/graphs and problem-solving.
As per the SAT test pattern 2018, test takers will be given 80 minutes to solve 58 questions. The Math section is broadly divided into two segments: Math Test–With Calculator and Math Test–Without Calculator.
